An intense little thriller making the most of a small amount of space.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, not so much John Cena are trapped by a sniper shooter in the Iraqi desert near the end of the 2007 Iraqui-War.

A normal investigation has one of them pinned in the open desert while the other takes cover behind a partially-destroyed wall.

If they make one false move they die.

Director Doug Liman takes a smaller approach to a bottle-type scenario; the sniper even plays psychological torture with one of them to throw them off.

With a short running time and no music the movie does what it can to rank up the intensity of limited options.

If the sniper doesn't take them both out surely the blazing heat, dehydration or bleeding out will.

This is definitely what anyone would do and react in this situation even if they are not a soldier.

And that scary twist of an ending says to us what the war has done do both sides and how capable we are of anything to get out of if or survive it.
