Review of The Walk (2015) by Christian C — 09 Oct 2015
Robert Zemeckis is at his best when he's focused on the uncommon triumphs of the human spirit - particularly when those triumphs are visually spectacular. The first half-hour of "The Walk" feels a bit tedious, save for a few scenes with the great Ben Kingsley.
But when the team arrives in America, the tone quickly shifts into an edge-of-your-seat heist movie of sorts, where the mark is access rather than excess. The 110-story high climax is worth the $20 IMAX 3D ticket alone.
Also, in a script full of under-developed characters, supporting actor James Badge Dale makes the most of every second he's on screen.
