Review of The Walk (2015) by Phillie E — 30 Dec 2015
An uplifting story about overcoming adversity and conquering your dreams. Led by an excellent performance from JGL. I thought the relationships between Petit and his gang went a little too fast. Some of the script was too childish/cartoonish.
Some parts were needlessly narrated and I didn't like when they cut to JGL on the Statue of Liberty, I thought that was pointless. Other than that, it all paid off to see the walk between the two towers.
Very intense and beautiful. Zemeckis really captured the art of wire walking in that scene. The whole movie was a joyous hello and goodbye yo the twin towers.
