Review of The Walk (2015) by Kelly P — 01 Feb 2016
Some absolutely thrilling scenes and visuals, part awe inspiring, part terrifying. And it would be unfair to completely blame Joseph-Gordon Levitt for the god-awful decision to have him speak in a ridiculous accent throughout. If that idea had been thrown off a tall building, this could have been incredible, but once you've taken the first few steps past the opening two acts, this film becomes electrifying.
Resonant Line: "Philippe Petit: I find myself in the middle of the wire. And I feel the void. And although a wire-walker should never look down... I do. And it was... It was beautiful. It was calm and beautiful, and serene, and "not-dangerous."".
