Review of The Walk (2015) by Nicholas L — 05 Aug 2016
What inspires people to do "crazy things"? Crazy in others' eyes especially when monetary gain is not involved. But for some, these "crazy things" are the most logical path to take.
Director Robert Zemekis is eager to explain this, although not very convincingly. The most exciting thing in this movie is not the bespoke walk on the tight rope 142 meters above the ground but the preparation for it.
The procedure was played out almost like a heist. Tribute is paid not exclusively to Philippe Petit for making such a daring stint but also to New York's twin tower. One can revisit these iconic buildings famous for its misfortune.
