Review of The Walk (2015) by Angelo J — 03 Sep 2016
Its light-heartedness, humor, and overwhelming beauty are all reminders as to why I have always been a fan of Zemeckis films. They always seem to bring out the child in me, and this one is absolutely no exception.
I loved how the film started with a narration from the lead character himself, breaking the fourth wall, and describing the feeling of walking at a height of 110 stories on top of one of the world's iconic landmarks.
It is a bit infantile but I couldn't care less as it still managed to captivate me as the "coup" slowly unravels to a dizzying finale. This I think is the essence of telling a brilliant story.
