While impatient viewers may be slightly ticked off with the fact that it takes a while for Philippe Petit to finally cross the wire in the undeniably amazing climax, the assured direction of Robert Zemeckis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt's amazing performance, stunning visuals and some astonishing effects make the 25-minute-long wire-walking sequence in the third act worth the wait.
