Review of The Walk (2015) by Moya W — 25 Nov 2015
The Walk started rather ridiculous but still somewhat entertaining and ended to be something powerful and foremost spectacular.
I just finished reading the book and even though there were a few things in the movie that I couldn't remember actually reading in the book I could still see the movie as a true individual, because there was something special in the way that the story was told that needed to be visualised.
The French and the French accent from Joseph Gordon-Levitt was impeccable. He really shone in this movie. In a way that I hadn't really seen him shine before. The 3D-effects were absolutely remarkable. The imagery was beautiful and the grace of the movie was utterly stunning.
The movie started by making me laugh, but it ended with having my heart in knots. It might not be a movie that I will see again, but that's just because it's difficult to have a first experience twice.
