Review of The Waiting Room (2007) by Matt D — 06 Oct 2008
Why can't all British films be like this? Little seen on its cinema release this charming little comedy drama has two great central performances from the always reliable Anne-Marie Duff and Ralf Little who proves that his acting goes beyond crappy BBC3 sitcoms.
The script gives a brilliant portrayal of two lost souls who are both trapped in very different relationships which are going nowhere fast. There are also great supporting performances from Rupert Graves as well as veterans Frank FInlay and Phyllida Law.
Overall a great British romance that deserves to be scene and may find a home on DVD.
