Review of The Wailing (2016) by Private U — 02 Jan 2017

I enjoyed it and I was left guessing until the end. It felt untidy in regard to some of the script and scenes but it delivered a good movie horror experience for me. What I find interesting is how a hard hitting serious feeling horror can have a mix of slapstick comedy action added in and still work.

It started out heavy on the comedy script and then backed off a bit with the story becoming more punishing to the characters as it progressed.
