Clouzot was a master... I have no doubt of that... this is probably his best movie (although Les Diaboliques was amazing)... the only problem I had with this movie was the ending... it seemd out of place (and out of character) and random.
.. the movie was tense and gritty but the set up seemed to drag on a little too long...
