Review of The Wages of Fear (1953) by Van L — 14 Jun 2010
Die Hard, Desperado, Con Air and Face/Off - to name but a few. This is their Grandfather, the first true, hi-octane, action movie...and, up against it's younger counterparts it fails badly.
It's predictable, as tense as Pride and Prejudice, and less exciting than Wes Anderson reading a weather report.
If you want action stick with the younger generation.
