Review of The Wages of Fear (1953) by Sam I — 21 Jun 2007
A tedious, scene setting, HOUR at it's opening drags down what is, largely, a fine suspense film about 4 men driving 2 trucks transporting nitroglycerin. The set pieces, particularly one nail biter about blowing up a rock blocking the path, are excellent but that first hour loses this a point on its grade.
