Review of The Wackness (2008) by Michelle D — 25 Feb 2009
It's a little odd seeing a period piece about 1994, but the real problem with this movie can be summed up in two words: Josh Peck. He was totally convincing as stupid, but not in a good way. He was neither innocent nor tragic, he was just dumb.
Since I'm not dumb, and never was, I didn't care about him. He did have some funny banter with Ben Kingsley, but I suspect that was just talent bouncing off the walls and being reflected onto him.
