Review of The Wackness (2008) by Don M — 23 Feb 2009
Finally a decent teen drama that does it's part to show how difficult it is to make the transition from high school to college. Josh Peck was great as a teen struggling to find himself amidst the madness of NYC circa '94.
His character's friendship with Ben Kingsley's lunatic therapist is full of surprises and ultimately makes the film worthwhile. Loved the music and feel of the film, great cast with true-to-life dialogue dealing with real issues facing youth today- drugs, sex and f*cked up parents.
Better than your average teen movie.
