Better than the Nicholas Sparks tripe we've been seeing. The acting is good, even from Channing Tatum who is usually pretty unconvincing in anything dramatic. The setting is beautiful. I absolutely love Chicago and it is the perfect backdrop to these characters' lives.

"The Vow" is a wonderful, moving story about the deep and unyielding love of a guy for his wife, who suffers a traumatic brain injury that erases the past few years of her memory (everything having to do with them and their life together). Your heart breaks for Leo as he tries everything he can to remind her of what they had together and make her fall in love with him again. There was a bit of controversy regarding the fact that the real couple this movie is based on had a lot of faith in God and it was a very big part of keeping them together. This movie erases that completely and we just have a young, good-looking couple who are bound together completely by an earthly bond. While this sucks, it's to be expected with a mainstream Hollywood romance. In either case though it has you believing that what is meant to be WILL be, no matter what. Even the cynics will probably like this.
