The Vow has something going for it & that is, a story. Many Romantic drama's lack the depth of a story as this one; Which is what defines a persons wants & needs? Memory? Habits? (well that's what I got out of this one) It is by no means perfect and I did feel the acting was off a bit at times, but it is earnest in what it does and therefore makes it a movie worth checking out, merely because of the extreme circumstance the couple find themselves in.
