Review of The Vow (2012) by This G — 27 Jul 2012
Both actors have the right chemistry here (or lack there of in some scenes) but it is not enough to save this film from being cliched and a little dull.
Rachel and Channing play a married couple who are living in bliss. That is until an accident steals Rachel's memory and she cant remember her husband. This leads to some awkward scenes of Channing's character trying to help her remember. He however fails because it turns out that before she met and married Channing's character, Rachel's character was a total douche. This gets more complicated when Rachel's parents try to use this in order to split Channing and Rachel up. This then dissolves into a bunch of boring and sappy order of events that eventually leads to and underwhelming ending.
There are only a handfull of good scenes here, not enough for me to recommend it though.
