This film is worth seeing despite the splattered green tomatoes from the alleged movie reviewers below such as Village Voice's Nick Pinkerton etc.

It's essentially a love story about two very different people from different backgrounds who find love with one another when one, the man as it would be, takes a chance and pursues the other. They marry, a strange and public affair with friends only as the groom (Leo) is an orphan whereas the bride (Paige) has cut off her family due to the strange affairs that plague her family.

In an accident, rear-ended by a careless snowplow driver, they almost lose their lives and she loses most if not all of her memory. Her family appear on the scene and are angry at not being told immediately about her accident (it makes sense when you realize the depth of their estrangement from their daughter). Thus begins the tug of war between the solitary husband (whom his wife doesn't remember) and her family.

Ultimately "the truth will out" and it does in the most haphazard but lifelike of ways through an estranged friend whom the bride perhaps remembers only good things about...the friend comes clean about why the two of them would be ultimately estranged and then the Paige confronts her mom and eventually she makes yet another break from her family but this time not cutting them off completely.

Leo and Paige come back into each other's lives through a chance meeting. Maybe it doesn't stick to the true story but it has a realism of its own. Even though Leo does want to stand by her to the end, she and her family make it so difficult that it is not entirely unbelievable that he gives up on her and tries to move on in his own way, perhaps subconsciously letting her go so that she can ultimately choose her life and then perhaps be open to meeting and being with him again? 10/10.

Reading Markus R's review: I guess he is a "professional reviewer" and perhaps he wants to impress us all with how much he knows about movies? Anyway, I disagree with his review and many of the reviews here and the generalizations about whether men will like this film or not.... I certainly will not visit Markus' page....no way.
