Review of The Voices (2014) by Alison J — 06 Apr 2015
Offensive and gratuitous foray into popular false assumptions about schizophrenia. There is nothing bold or fresh about this film, and the main character struck me as stupid, not charming. It is astounding to me that anyone could find him endearing.
Please. There are ENOUGH films already by abled uninformed filmmakers about mentally ill people as dangerous violent psychopaths, when statistically the mentally ill are FAR more likely to be victims of crime instead of perpetrators.
This movie is idiotic and irritating, NOT funny.
