Review of The Voices (2014) by Azrafael A — 05 Apr 2015
"Do you even hear voices?".
Step into the life of a schizophrenic where he conveys the voices in his head onto his pets in classic angel/devil conversations.
The film takes you on both dark comedic aspects and throws one off into a horror scene without expecting, silencing the laughter you just had. Reynold's quirky role offsets such tonal changes, thankfully.
The film brings light into how a traumatic upbringing, misunderstanding of mental health and the taboo imposed by society led a man into a psychopathic trance.
"Being alone in the world is the root of all suffering.".
