Review of The Visit (2015) by Acacia — 29 Sep 2015
Four of us went to see this movie and four of us really enjoyed it. I was hoping for the best for M. Night Shyamalan since he really could use a hit. The whole idea of using grandparents to be the focus of a horror movie is brilliant.
The circumstances are a bit hard to believe, but whatever. The kids are meeting the grandparents for the first time and have no idea what to expect. Nana and Pop Pop are just eccentric enough to throw the kids for a bit of a loop, but hey, it's Nana and Pop Pop! They're just old, right? There are a couple of fun scares and lots of creepiness to keep your interest.
Not your typical horror movie at all. But, we thought it was worth seeing.
