Could see that effort was made with "The Visit" to have a blend of both jump scares and comic relief, which is a surprisingly nice change to the found-footage genre. The cast is also exemplary. However the film missteps in pacing itself adequately and the final climax ultimately holds no weight and ends up coming off as kooky rather than scary.
