"What a twist!" ;).
But seriously, I did not figure out the twist before it happened, so I was genuinely shocked when it occurred. Then I was mad at myself for not even thinking of it. Then I was happy that M. Night has not lost his touch, since I was greatly disappointed with some of his past films, e.g., The Happening.
If you liked his good movies, then you should definitely give this one a chance. Granted it was a bit slow until the last 30 minutes, it really has the power to stay with you after it's over. Since watching the movie, I have thought of it many times, with both fear and disgust. My roommate, who was not eager to watch it, has mentioned it several times over the past few days. All in all, I'm very glad I rented it, and I would definitely watch it again!
