Review of The Virgin Suicides (2000) by Christian C — 26 Sep 2009
This movie portrays the humanity of life and how love is seemingly meaningless. Love means nothing towards any of these characters. The parents love their children way to much causing them to control their children to no end.
Lux loves Trip so much but Trip has no real grasp on love until he is older and realizes what he has. But the most profound example is the childish love Cecilia has for the trees. This is how love should be something innocent but is evident by everyone around you.
Without being able to realize love there is no one way can love oneself.
