Review of The Virgin Suicides (2000) by Kris H — 05 Jan 2012
Depressing and boring, this film confirms my old suspition: I don't like Sofia Coppola's movies. They're not involving enough and her style is very flat, monotonous, slow moving and so depressing.
Sometimes the movie, though bad, has sparkles of light with some creative dialogues and great scenes, the good moments are fewer and James Woods, Kathleen Turner, Danny DeVito and Kirsten Dunst are unable to make this work.
Josh Hartnett can't act. Coppola may have thousands of fans and an Oscar at home but her work is not for me.
