Review of The Virgin Suicides (2000) by Jeremy S — 16 Jul 2013
A tragic yet funny coming of age, "The Virgin Suicides" remains Sofia Coppola's second greatest film to date, which is impressive considering it is the very first she ever made. This is a poetic look at the sheltered lives of five young girls, as told through a group of young boys, in the 1970s.
This film is haunting and has moments of both comedy and tragedy.
