Review of The Virgin Spring (1960) by Jeff B — 08 Oct 2008
Very powerful film by Ingmar Bergman about a religious familly in the 14th century who have to deal with a tragedy. Many beautiful moments throughout, especially the scene near the end with the close up of Von Sydow and the fire, that blew me away.
And that was quite the ending. A very deserved Best Foreign Film winner at the Oscars, I'm glad I finally saw it.
