Review of The Virgin Spring (1960) by Shae S — 14 Nov 2015
Ingmar Bergman could make his films more explicit like this one. As usual, Bergman discussed matters like death and religion here. Seemingly, he criticized God's injustice. But for the ending, we can see Bergman still had a strong faith.
The ending is one of the most beautiful and intriguing scenes among Bergman's films.
