What a shame! for a long while The Village is a beautifully crafted, dark and gorgeous period set monster tale, it's gothic, scary, exquisitely paced and shot and very well acted (except by a seriously over egging his "full retard" Adrian Brody, who is a bit embarrassing) it's a feast of a film, then it EXPLODES, Shymalanadingdong falls for his own hype as a narrative trickster to the determent of the film, whilst a surprising turn, it serves only to undermine and even flat out ruin repeat viewings of the film.
Rendering it a failed half success. .Like I said, shame.
