Review of The Village (2004) by Matt B — 21 May 2015
The Village isn't TERRIBLE, but it's HUGELY HUGELY HUGELYYYYYY disappointing, thanks to its original but atrociously unbelievably ridiculously laughable twist ending. It's a shame too, because the cinematography is brilliant and the first hour is incredibly creepy.
Shyamalan, just stop forcing twist endings!!! It's not necessary! This could have been a real knockout. Keep everything the same but make it scarier and ERADICATE the twist ending.
