Review of The Village (2004) by Jonathan G — 31 Oct 2015
Another great M. Night film. A suspense thriller with an amazing twist. People can't see his movies for what they are - they want to see a cliche representation of they think the movie is. For example, if they have labeled the movie a Horror, then they expect the cliche, blood and guts rambling of a movie; usually with poor acting and a weak story line.
Same thing goes for suspense. However, M. Night makes his movies based on his own creative thought processes of what he wants to portray and the message that he wants to send. People do what they do nature, attack something they don't understand and can't wrap their heads around.
Shame.
