Review of The Vikings (1958) by Adrian S — 13 May 2009
Proof positive that historical innaccuracy is one of the greatest of hollywood traditions, but that it does not have to be an obstacle to making a great and enjoyable romp of a movie.
I had not recognised Ernest Borgnine at first, seems like hes been playing old men for fifty years, cause he has, he was only forty here and hes still doing better than Kirk Douglas, and Tony Curtis who play his sons here, but then he is younger than one of them, and only a few years older than the other.
