Review of The Verdict (1982) by Victoria W — 20 May 2008
Straight laced dialogue tells you that Mammet wrote this piece of legal drama.
So very dry in tone and it aludes to no grandiose win or tragic loss; so when the end comes (the verdict comes in) one is truly supprised. but no matter what the outcom you will always sympathise with Paul Newmans determination to use the case as the hand helping him out from the gutter he wandered into.
Very well acted.
