Review of The Verdict (1982) by George H — 29 Jun 2009
I love a court room drama it's one of my favourite genres, but this film is more about the character becoming the person he should have always been.
Paul Newman is phenomenal in this role. So many other performers would have over played it, but he played it to perfection.
The scene when he tries to find a doctor for his case in the midst of trying to stave off a panic attack and remain coherent and professional is some of the best acting I have ever seen, I was so uncomfortable for him.
