Review of The Verdict (1982) by Gordon S — 25 Aug 2010
Maybe the greatest of all trial films, with Newman giving perhaps his best performance as a very flawed and often unlikable lawyer (which shows what a great actor the very admirable Newman was) battling to do the right thing.
It's genuinely suspenseful and the outcome is always in doubt.
