Review of The Verdict (1982) by Gordon/The Mad Artist — 07 Nov 2008
Works both as a thriller and a great courtroom drama. The late, great Paul Newman was Oscar nominated as a normally hack lawyer defending his client with his heart and soul. Tense, bracing stuff, and possibly Sidney Lumet's best film.
