Review of The Veil (2016) by Nicolò G — 27 Jan 2016
A by-the-numbers, predictable, and boring horror movie. While Jessica Alba and the rest of the cast sleepwalk through the entire thing, Thomas Jane's delightfully weird portrayal of the cultist leader of Heaven's Veil makes every scene he is in slightly interesting.
The cinematography is colorless and generally pretty bad, and the ending delivers a WTF moment that comes out of nowhere and leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
