Review of The Vanishing (2019) by Aaryaman N — 05 Jan 2019

I think this drama/thriller definitely delivers on intriguing storytelling, excellent cinematography, and brilliant performances (particularly Peter Mullan and Gerard Butler). Whenever it does suffer a bit from pacing, the performances of the three leads always bring me right back into their dark and dangerous situation.

It was also able to intrigue me so much, that I started looking up and reading about the real Flannen Isles mystery. Lastly, for those wondering, this is definitely one of the best, if not, the best performance from Gerard Butler, a roll which i'm pretty sure he wanted very badly (as he also Produced it). Please give this sadly under promoted and under seen film a chance.
