The original 1988 Swedish film was a terrific thriller but sadly this sad case for a remake destroys everything that made the original so great in one fatal swoop. Jeff Bridges, Kiefer Sutherland, Nancy Travis and Sandra Bullock, who are usually great, are all terrible here.
Bridges being the worst offender, he tries to act creepy and menacing but he fails on all fronts. The script is embarrassing and the ending is just plain bad. It's hard to believe that George Suizer, who directed the original, also directed this piece of shit.
