Review of The Valet (2006) by Genevieve M — 03 Sep 2007
La Doublure is the typical Francis Veber comedy, a funny movie where a valet is hired by an important CEO to salvage his marriage, posing as the man of his lover, a beautiful model who has been photographed with him.
Daniel Auteuil, Gad Elmaleh, Kristin Scott-Thomas, gorgeous Virginie Ledoyen and Alice Taglioni star in this comedy, which shares several elements with other movies of the popular French director (whose Three Fugitives was a remake of a movie he directed a few years before).
If you loved Le Diner de Cons, Le Placard or La Chevre, you will definitely have fun with this movie too.
