Review of The Usual Suspects (1995) by Ben L — 08 Jul 2014
Maybe it'll get better upon multiple viewings, but I found Bryan Singer's The Usual Suspects to be a tad overrated. It's a good film, and Kevin Spacey gives a terrific performance that reminded me a lot of his role in American Beauty, but overall I found the narrative and complex storytelling to be a bit uninteresting.
Again, maybe it will get better upon multiple viewings, but as it stands, I really liked it, just didn't love it.
