Review of The Usual Suspects (1995) by Zaw M — 29 Nov 2014
The Usual Suspects is a gripping crime based movie with plot twists that will interest any audience. The director Bryan Singer pulls you in from the very first scene of the movie with a high intensity scene that leaves you guessing until the very end of the film.
It is by far one of the best crime movies I have watched and I would recommend anyone who is at least 17 years of age to watch it. Although being an entertaining movie, it lacks in believability. The characters are under introduced and lack substance while the plot is confusing to the audience.
When the movie finally starts you feel as if you missed a part of the movie and in that part, the story and characters were introduced. The other major downside to this film is the poor soundtrack choices.
The opening scene seems to be confused with if it's introducing a Harry Potter movie or a action crime movie. All and all if you are looking for an entertaining crime genre based movie this is a perfect movie to watch but if you are looking for a cinematic masterpiece The Usual Suspects may not be the movie for you.
