Review of The Usual Suspects (1995) by Vaughan M — 18 Jul 2016
Had me confused until the third act, which is extremely unusual, but so is this movie. It's smart, but not as smart as most people think. Certainly entertaining and well done, but there was a ton of unnecessary fluff that, mostly, didn't contribute anything to the story.
The ending is classic and everyone should see it for that reason alone (along with the acting and direction). I was prepared to give it 2 stars, but it got better as it went along.
