Review of The Upper Footage (2013) by Ryan Y — 21 Jan 2014
The only thing this film really has going for it is the whole is this/isn't this real thing. I have to admit, the film does a really great job at convincing you it's the real deal.....however, do enough digging and you'll find that it was all just a big hoax.
There's no real story here, the acting is not very notable, but I guess that was kind of the point. Make the whole thing resemble real life, and traumatize your audience. it does it's job well, but I don't think I would re-visit this film again.
It's hard to watch (especially the death scene), and it's not really all that memorable except for the marketing behind the film. The real purpose of this film would seem to be to demonize the one percent.
