Review of The Untouchables (1987) by Brandon S — 03 Aug 2012
A passionate and artful gangster picture that's not just a regular mafia film. Whenever Kevin and Bobby are on screen I can't take my eyes off of the screen, they function extremely well together on-screen.
Sean Connery adds an old school gangster flare to this great crime thriller. While it's not his masterpiece, this is one of De Palma's absolute best films. De Niro's acting mastery makes it difficult to look at anyone else in the scene, he's kinetic and brilliant while keeping true to the swagger and intelligence of the real Al Capone.
