Review of The Unholy Three (1930) by Kevin D — 25 Jul 2009
This was entertaining. Harry Earles, known to all as the rich midget in "Freaks", is really entertaining, even if you can't understand a word he says (blame the conversion of period sound and his squeaky helium voice), especiallly when dressing up as a baby and chomping on a cigar.
The love triangle between Chaney's larcenous cross-dresser, Lila Lee and the squarest patsy ever is dumb stuff, but what do you expect in a movie where a bunch of sideshow attractions moonlight as jewel thieves? Hopefully not soul-searing drama.
