Review of The Unforgiving (2010) by Anahita S — 06 Apr 2011
South African addition to the torture cycle that tries to disguise its budgetary limitations beneath shaky camerawork and overgrading. Dialogue is poor, the storytelling muddy, and the situation over familiar, so when the film eventually does take a more interesting turn it may be too late to hold your attention.
Still, given the slender means, itâ(TM)s not without promise for the future.
