Review of The Unborn (1991) by Pete B — 19 Jan 2009
An below average film with that unmistakeable 80s style. The story could of been much more tense. The fear of carrying a evil child just isnt expressed. Typical screaming woman scenes makes me groan at its cheesyness.
I guess some of the acting is ok but most films of this era just seem sooo washed out or muted they never take any risks by doing something different. I'm sure film companies throw tons of these films at the audience in the hopes of getting one blockbuster.
Unfortunately It seems hollywood still uses this fish in a barrel type of film producing strategy. I guess the only thing that would draw ppl to see this would be the cameo's Lisa Kudrow from friends and Kathy Griffin well known comedian.
