This is the kind of 4th wall meta movie ideas that no doubt had the writers in stitches. Sadly this didn't translate into the finished product.The great cast and production value weren't enough to push the entertainment needle above average.
The comedy beats rarely hit and the near constant soundtrack and quick edits and pacing prevent any buildup of tension for the dramatic sections. Missed opportunity and yet a sense of fun throughout.
